Important (and Shocking) Graphics News Over the course of the past 4+ years, we have spent literally thousands of dollars on Royalty-Free images to ensure our customer base is properly protected against any potential copyright issue. A startling turn of events has taken place, and we feel it our responsibility to keep you informed. Less than one week ago, one of the royalty-free image houses sent an e-mail to a designer (not us) stating that their images could NOT be used in website templates. The designer was quite shocked, as this was certainly not stated in their license agreement. Upon being questioned by telephone, the image house stated they had since re-written their license agreement, and although they would not hold any owner of a template using these images liable, they DID insist that all templates using their imagery be removed immediately and not resold. This situation caused a flurry of activity and license researching by the various designers, and we have found that the agreements from the old arttoday.com group (sites now known as photos.com and clipart.com) have ALSO re-written their agreements to prohibit the use of their imagery in templates without a HEFTY premium being paid. Also, comstock.com includes a statement in their FAQs page stating prohibition of use of their images in templates (although the license agreement does NOT state this). Many changes are now taking place in the designer/template sales market. We are currently working to exchange all images used in the past year from photos.com and clipart.com with other images (we believe their license agreement was re-written just a few months ago, as they were bought out in June 2003). We have all our license agreements on file. Please understand that you are protected. If you have licensed a stock template from us and your copyright is called to question, please contact us immediately. We have paid all license fees, and even IF the agreement has changed as it relates to stock templates, it has NOT changed for custom work. If you find yourself being questioned, we have the royalty-free licensed right to exchange the images in your template with other images we have licensed, and will do so at no charge for your protection. Personal Note from Teri I am having surgery Monday morning, June 7, and will be hospitalized until Thursday June 10. I am donating a kidney to a very close family friend in need. Recovery will be 2-4 weeks; Richard will be handling the business matters during June. Please understand that we will be a bit slower than usual during this time period.	New Malls Coming Soon!!!! We are having a new shopping cart built for our malls, and hope to have it in place within the next month or so. The new malls will feature, among other things: - An affiliate program, allowing you to link our site from your site and earn money every time someone referred from your site makes a purchase! - An enhanced webmaster catalog program, still providing you a superb online catalog to show your customers from your own web site, BUT, also giving you an immediate discount on every template you purchase from us! - A "wish list" section, allowing you to "tuck away" templates you may want in the future so you don't have to search for them again. - Your own member section, with history of purchases and ability to immediately download prior purchases again in the event of hard drive failure, computer change, etc. - Product ranking and product rating - so you can see how popular a template is, as well as how other people rate the product. We are very excited about the new mall, and we are striving to make it even more user friendly than our current malls! Keep an eye out! And the Winners Are... Looks like $350 to $425 just now, but WELL worth it. We've never released a product like this before!
